So it’s the day before Christmas, your mom’s birthday, your wedding anniversary, or a million other events that somehow slipped your mind and you don’t have a gift. Don’t Panic! You’re not alone.
Luckily for you, if you have a tablet, a phone, a laptop, a computer, or any other device that can get you onto the internet, you’re in luck! The answer is simple: Ebooks!
(Disclaimer: Whoever you’re buying the gift for needs something they can read it on: an iPad, Kindle, Nook, iPhone, iPod touch, or a Macbook should do.)
There are plenty of books and genre’s to choose from on Amazon. Check out the Amazon Best Sellers and look for a book that they might be interested in. You can’t go wrong with a good book, especially a thoughtful one catered to their interests. Make sure you click the ‘Give as a gift’ button!
Hint: If it’s for a female, Romance is a safe bet. Just make sure it’s not something that will make them hate men for a while! You’re already on thin ice for being late.
If an ebook isn’t an option, don’t fret, you can still dodge the bullet with a little creativity.
Gas stations are filled with plenty of last minute gifts, like chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.
You can head to the market and get some fine wine. Or maybe you should buy them a bottle of vodka to help them forget how late you were. Adding in a bouquet of flowers is always a nice touch.
If your budget and time will allow it, you can book a small vacation to somewhere nice and put the receipt in a fancy envelope as proof. They will be so happy that they’ll cry tears of joy. Your bank account will, unfortunately, also cry.
You can also buy them a gift card but they’ll know. They’ll definitely know.
Next time around, set an alarm about 2 weeks to a month before important dates so that you never forget. If you have some free time right now, go write down every important event that usually demands a gift. Put it into your calendar and you’ll never have to run into this problem again!
